i really can't believe that another year has passed...it feels like just yesterday that i was creating a new year post for 2007! it has been a phenomenal year and we are both so incredibly grateful for all of the goodness that we experienced and all of the incredible people that we've met this year. below is a little slideshow to mark the occasion....peace and happiness in the new year!

in the spirit of christmas, i thought it would be fun to post some cool little things that i've found (that i'd love to see at christmas :) that i think would make a great gift. here's my most recent find:

i'm not sure why but i love this camera. maybe it's because it's a retro throw back and it reminds me of my first love...an old, manual minolta camera or just the fact that it's just darn cute! it's the perfect size to travel around in my pocket, and to capture my daily ventures without being too obvious.

the little leica

my friends over at slacker have seriously changed internet radio forever and have saved me from hours of torturous commercials and random plugs. I love slacker. it's just pure, uninterrupted music...just like my itunes library except 100 x's better. (it would take me years to collect that much music!:) definitely check out these stations....indie hits, alternative chill and electronic chill. I can't wait for them to release their mobile players!

we recently took to a trip to el paso, texas to visit family. i really enjoyed seeing how the city has changed...and not changed for that matter. :) it's an old, dusty town so visiting was a great contrast to living here in san diego. while i was there, i discovered an old salvage yard (lucky me) and knew that i needed stop in to take some photos. here are just a couple, with more to come once we get caught up!

i was completely floored when mike brought home this amazing chair! with summer in full swing, i've been on a hunt to find cool outdoor furniture...a very difficult task. unless of course, i were looking for wrought iron or wicker (yuk). so, the question is what do you do when you can't find what you're looking for?...you build it! it's amazing that mike built this prototype out of 1 sheet of veneer plywood. not only do i love the design, but it's so comfortable! i can't wait until he finishes the whole set...it's just what i was looking for.
